Prince William Responds To Kate Middleton Surgery Recovery

Supporting his wife. Prince William is booked and busy after Kate Middleton’s surgery. Amid many conspiracy theories on what actually happened to his wife, the Prince of Wales is determined to keep his royal duties afloat.

“His focus is on his work and not on social media,” a spokesman told People. On February 18, 2024, Prince William attended the BAFTAs without Kate as she continued to recover. Kensington Palace confirmed Prince William’s attendance at the event. “The Prince, President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) will watch the Awards ceremony before meeting category winners and EE Rising Star Award nominees,” the statement said.

Kensington Palace announced that Kate Middleton had a “planned abdominal surgery” at The London Clinic on January 16, 2024. “The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” the statement said. “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private,” the statement continued. “Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.”

On March 4, 2024, Kate Middleton was spotted for the first time since December, before her abdominal surgery. In photos obtained by TMZ, she was being driven by her mother, Carole, near Windsor Castle.

Prince William visited his wife as she recovered on January 18, palace officials told Today.com. Page Six revealed that her procedure “came as a surprise” to family friends as well as people who “work closely” with the royals, according to sources. Rest assured, Kate is “doing well” according to insiders quoted by People.

On January 29, 2024, Kensington Palace released a statement saying Kate was “making good progress” and was continuing her recovery at home after a 13-day hospital stay. “The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world,” the statement read, in addition to being thankful for the “diligent nursing staff” at the London Clinic.
