You Probably Don’t Need a Skincare Fridge But If You Do…

Wakey, wakey friends! It’s another beautiful day in Gotham and it seems like Summer is likely coming our way soon! I hope everyone is doing great this week. We had the AC on this week since it’s been pretty hot and I have to admit one of the nicest things about the warm weather is enjoying cold skincare from the fridge. I know, I sound like a maniac but seriously, when you’ve had a long day of yucky humidity it’s nice to wash your makeup off and grab a chilled face mask from the fridge to put on your face or even the cool, refreshing feel of hyaluronic acid just out of the fridge.
I had a skincare fridge installed under one of my bathroom counters years ago but about a year ago I decided to indulge in a smaller one to put on my vanity. It cost me all of $34 and it was a nice little feature to add to my bedroom vanity. It actually broke down recently and after stalking Niki’s Side of Cleantok on the daily and watching her with her cute little skincare fridge I decided to find one like it for myself.

I had a small stand up fridge with a LED mirror that I snagged at Walmart. It was cute, cheap, and it held the essentials I wasn’t storing in the much larger unit located under the counter in my bathroom. As I said above it recently broke down and I liked it so much I decided an upgrade was in order. I wanted one of the fridges that opened from the top as not only did they look way cooler but they also, seemed to hold a lot more stuff. I went with this spacious 6.2 Liter unit that cost me $69 on amazon.com and I gotta say it was worth it. It’s actually quite cheap as units like this are typically $150-$200. It doesn’t have any temperature reading or buttons but it chills to around 37 degrees (I put a digital thermometer inside it overnight to check!).
I’ve had it for a month and so far it’s great. The fans are relatively quiet, the unit holds ton of skincare and has a small divider should you like to separate items plus a slot on the lid to store sheet masks, and chills all my skincare perfect.
Do you need a skincare fridge? Probably not but I think it’s a rather nice way to store skincare tools like facial rollers plus it’s a good way to keep products like Vitamin C stable and fresh. If you don’t already have one this is a nice unit to indulge it.
Do you own a skincare fridge already? Which one?
