Curious orange kitten gets stuck in car muffler, Howell firefighters help rescue tiny feline
On Wednesday, an orange feline was brought to the Howell Area Fire Department. The owner needed the firefighters’ help rescuing the kitten from a car muffler. The officials quickly got to work, as the kitty’s head was tightly lodged in the opening. Unfortunately, the head was entirely trapped inside the muffler.
They believe the feline got too curious and was planning to investigate the muffler but ended up getting stuck instead. According to People, the firefighters had to cut away pieces carefully from the opening to ensure it was wide enough for the kitty to get out of their predicament. One of the officials constantly petted the little one to calm them, making the rescue much easier.
Once the firefighters were sure there was enough room, they pulled the kitten out of the car muffler, hoping to finally rescue the little one. When the feline escaped the ordeal, their neck and ears were covered with grease. Once saved, the kitty was free to return home with their owner. However, the hard-to-remove grease will need a good cleaning session.
The officials noted that the kitten and the car muffler belonged to the individual who brought them in. Both are in excellent condition and need some love before they are back to normal. The family returned to their barn with their muffler, and the Howell Area Fire Department was more than happy to assist with the kitty rescue.
