One of the favorite human products from this company, Raw Relief Hemp Honey, is also a great choice for pets.
This unique blend fuses the powerful nutritional and antioxidant benefits of raw honey with the many strengths of CBD and hemp oil. Each jar contains just these two pure ingredients.
The honey comes from Frangiosa Farms’ beehives, which are raised using natural methods, organic products, and essential oils. It’s certified glyphosate residue-free and unfiltered.
Each 12-ounce jar contains 1,020 mg of full-spectrum hemp extract and 340 mg of CBD. The recommended serving size for people is one teaspoon, which contains 5 mg of CBD. For dogs, it is generally recommended that they have no more than ¼ to 2 teaspoons of honey per day, depending on their size.
This honey can be added to your pet’s food or given on a treat. My dogs and cat both seem to enjoy the flavor and have no problem eating it in their meals.

Our Experience With Colorado Hemp Honey
For those of you who have been following my reviews, you know how many different CBD tinctures I have tested. I can typically put these products into one of three categories: performs as expected, performs worse than expected, and surpasses expectations.
It’s rare that I find a product that fits into that last category, but the Hip ‘N’ Joint tincture from Colorado Hemp Honey most definitely surpassed my expectations.
Any product that uses quality, unfiltered full-spectrum hemp extract is likely to produce good results. What pushes a product into that next category of awesomeness, in my experience, is the addition of something a little more. In this case, I have to assume the added propolis is playing a big role.
I also had the opportunity to try their Raw Relief Hemp Honey on Ragz (and myself!). After three weeks of testing both products, I can tell you that I am a huge fan of this company. And not just because the farm is located one town over from where I live.
There is a lot to like about the Hip ‘N’ Joint tincture. I’m always a big fan of CBD oils that include measurement markers on the pipette—it just makes them so much easier to dose. I also appreciate the added flavor that leaves Ragz licking her bowl so no drop is wasted.
But much more importantly, I have been blown away by how well this seems to work for Ragz. Within a week of starting her on it, I noticed she was more playful.
She’s thirteen years old now and much calmer than she used to be. But this product had her bounding happily around the house with increased frequency. It was like she was a puppy again!
She’s been much more playful and springy now that she gets this tincture in her meals twice a day. And I achieved these results with a lower dose than I typically give her. This is great, of course, because it means each bottle will last her longer.
Because the tincture is working so well, I don’t have many reasons to use the Raw Relief honey for her. But I did add it to her meals a few times to see how she liked it. She was definitely a big fan.
I have been putting this to use on my other dog, Papyrus, though. He has had a small but stubborn abscess for weeks that hasn’t responded to antibiotic ointment or essential oils. After two days of using the raw honey on it, it is nearly healed.
I’ve also used the Raw Relief honey for myself. I personally enjoy the earthy flavor and often put it in my nighttime tea. The calming effects are instant and it also works well to soothe and conquer sore throats.
Honestly, there isn’t much not to like about these products. They both work well and have more than met my expectations.
And the company itself is definitely worth championing. They donate 10 cents from every bottle of pet tincture sold to Freedom Service Dogs of America. This organization, which I happened to work with back in college, helps train and pair service dogs with veterans who need emotional or physical assistance.
They also donate money to Veterans to Farmers and spend much of their time educating others about backyard beekeeping.
These are two products I will definitely be using again and again. The Hip ‘N’ Joint for Pets tincture worked wonderfully to help Ragz find relief from her chronic joint pain. And the versatility, effectiveness, and unique properties of the Raw Relief honey make it worth keeping around for both the humans and pets in my home.
Conclusion
If you’re after a CBD product for your pet that does as much to ease their pain as it does to promote overall health, I can’t recommend Colorado Hemp Honey enough.
