Abandoned Cat Rescued From Cave in UK Finds Forever Home

Social media has been abuzz with the rescue story of an abandoned cat from a cave in Staffordshire. Luckily, the cat, George, has found a new family and a new forever home. The animal rescue charity RSPCA revealed that on May 14, someone discovered George alone inside the Beech Cave on Tittensor’s Beechdale Lane, Staffordshire. He was still inside his carrier, and no water or food was given to him. The person then took him to a vet. From there, the RSPCA took the feline under their care at the North Staffordshire branch of the charity.
Cat abandoned in cave rescued and rehomed by RSPCA

After George, an abandoned white cat with black patches, was rescued at the Beech Cave in Staffordshire, RSPCA took him under their care and rehomed the adorable cat. BBC reported that in August, a woman named Rachel Yeates adopted George from the charity. Now, he has a loving home in the market town of Leek in Staffordshire, where he lives with another cat friend named Harvey.
George’s new owner said that he was “very much loved.” Yeates further explained that she wanted to have another cat so that Harvey could have “a playmate” and “some company.” The owner added that the rescued cat was a “bit nervous” in the beginning but settled in at his new place, and now, he is being “spoilt rotten.” She further said that George receives pampering and “gets treats.” Yeates then shared that her mother absolutely “adores” the feline.
As of now, the rescued cat, George, is living a happy life with his new family and playmate Harvey.
