Bachelor Nation has had a rough couple of weeks after Jenn Tran’s turbulent Bachelorette finale, and now there’s rumors floating around that Grant Ellis won’t be the Bachelor anymore. But is it true?
Grant Ellis, a 30-year-old Day Trader from Newark, New Jersey, was one of 25 contestants on The Bachelorette Season 21 with Jenn Tran. Grant received Jenn’s first group date rose after a comedy roast date in Melbourne, Australia, in Week 2. However, he was eliminated right before the Hometown Dates in Week 6.
Weeks later, ABC announced that Grant was picked as the next season’s Bachelor for season 29 of The Bachelor. “I’m looking for a love that’s kind and understanding,” he said on Good Morning America. “Some qualities I’m looking for in a potential partner is somebody who’s adventurous, somebody who’s affectionate and somebody who’s loving,” he continued. “I can’t wait for this incredible journey to get kicked off; it’s going to be so fun and I hope you guys tune in. Peace!” Though some fans and articles think that Grant got the boot before he had the chance to prove himself.

Is Grant Ellis being replaced as The Bachelor?
As of writing this, Grant Ellis is still set to be the Bachelor for season 29. Reality Steve dispelled the rumors that Grant was dumped from the reality show franchise weeks before filming. An article from the site Daily News reported that “something so great” and “shocking” happened to Grant that producers thought it would be “impossible” to continue the show after a secret came out.
The reality guru claimed that the site that posted the story didn’t have any factual evidence. He said, “If Grant was being replaced as the Bachelor, it would be front page news on every entertainment site, not your local Facebook group and not a Facebook link to your website. Didn’t have any sources. Even if you read the story, it doesn’t say why he was replaced.”
