Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss Review & Swatches

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss ($10.49) is a new take on Revlon’s Super Lustrous The Lip Gloss that launched about six or so years ago. This new formula has a shimmering, metallic finish and contains plant-based glitter that have light-refracting pearls giving lips color, shine, and a beautiful sparkly look. Available in ten shades this gloss launched with the Revlon Spring 2025 Collection that also includes a new Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil.
If you’re an old school MAC Dazzleglass fan girl I think you’ll adore Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss. I’m actually surprised I even bothered picking one up as my tastes have dramatically evolved in recent years and I’m not as big a metallic finish fan as I once was. I prefer sparkle or fine shimmer but not metallic. Metallic is just overkill for me. Although, a lot of these shades do sort of look iridescent versus hardcore metallic. Another added plus to this formula is the glitter is plant-based. But one of the shades caught my eye and here we are today to review it.
Let’s take a look!

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss will set you back around $8-$10 and is 0.13 oz in size. This is one of those larger applicator/large barrel lipglosses which I love. Don’t get me wrong a standard lipgloss is a great size for travel and for storage but I do so love the larger doe foot applicators as they cover a lot more in one swipe than the smaller ones! As I mentioned above Revlon released this formula in ten shade selections. I only grabbed one which was Bronze Spark which is a warm bronze with fine gold glitter. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the pigment level on some of the shades but I can honestly say that I had no issues with Bronze Spark. It’s quite pigmented and true to the color on the barrel. You can easily use it alone or over your favorite lipstick.
This formula is absolutely beautiful. Glitter and metallic lipglosses can be hit or miss. Some are gritter, some feel heavy, others have a rather odd texture on lips. Not the case with Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss. You’d never know this contains glitter of any kind as it applies and feels like regular lipgloss. It’s light, very moisturizing, glides on lips easily (even when mine are busy being dried and cracked), and looks smooth and even. My shade had an intense metallic finish that was very shiny. The gold glitter is stunning in this shade as it captures the light beautifully. I always feel like I’m painting my lips with glue when I use a metallic gloss but this formula isn’t sticky, tacky or heavy! It’s very comfortable to wear. Also, as it wears away it doesn’t leave behind gross bits of glitter. It just naturally wears away and the color and glitter disappears without making a mess. I can get about four hours of wear from it and the shine lasts quite long through that time. It did leave my lips feeling very hydrated as well. The formula does have a fruity flavor but it isn’t overpowering and it isn’t bitter or perfume-y.

I have one compliant about Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss. As you can see above I really, really like the formula however, I wish there was a better shade range. I’m not really into all the pale pinks, crystals, blues, and fuchsias. I wish they had some more nudes, corals, and peaches and maybe some nice rose shades. The shade range just isn’t my thing.
All in all, Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss was a pleasant surprise! Not your average everyday metallic lipgloss here! This is a beautiful formula!

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Gloss lipgloss formula with plant-based glitter and light-refracting pearls that provides moistirizing shine, color, and sparkle to lips. Available in ten shades this formula is $10 for 0.13 oz of gloss. It comes in a larger barrel with a larger doe-foot applicator making for easy, smooth application. I got one shade and it had excellent pigment and a thicker formula that applied smoothly without being gritty or heavy on my lips. The formula gave me plenty of shine and a nice moisture while wearing for four hours without migration. As it wore away it didn’t leave behind glittery residue.

Super shiny.
Not gritty or heavy on lips.
Very glossy
Moisturizing.
Pigmented.
