It’s tough being a kangaroo sometimes. While hopping around in a wide-open field in Australia, one kangaroo found itself in a dangerous situation—it got stuck in a fence and couldn’t free itself. It’s unclear how long the animal had been trapped, alone and frightened, but fortunately, two caring individuals spotted the stranded kangaroo and decided to lend a hand.

“He must’ve been there for quite a while,” one of the rescuers shared. “He looked really stressed and dehydrated.”
When they first discovered the kangaroo, the friends feared the worst. But as they cautiously approached, they were relieved to see that the animal was still alive. Its foot was tightly tangled in barbed wire, making any attempt to escape both painful and impossible.

At first, the terrified kangaroo was not happy to see the humans coming closer. He reacted with fear, but his behavior softened once they managed to place him gently into the back of their truck to take some weight off his injured foot. They also carefully draped a towel over his face to help him stay calm.
Luckily, around that time, another good Samaritan stopped by to assist. With the combined efforts of all three, the kangaroo was finally set free. After such an ordeal, the poor animal gratefully accepted some much-needed water from his rescuers.

@tab_ventures Driving home from Eyre Peninsula, i turned around to see what happened to a dead Kangaroo I saw hanging off a fence. We didn’t realise until we got closer that he was still alive.. he must’ve been stuck there for some time. He was pretty distressed and thirsty.
