Very few things in life make more of an impact than a perfect red or pink pout. Whether you have a big date planned, or you just want to show off your new season lip colour, I know how important it is to create a lip look that won’t disappear within five minutes. This is harder than ever with face masks involved! Whether I’m backstage at a show, or prepping a client for the red carpet, I always use one of the best long-wear lipsticks from my kit and ensure the lip prep and finish will prolong the lip colour even further.

Here’s my backstage guide to perfectly kissable lips…
Prep:
Always ensure you prep your lips well before you start. Use a lip scrub, such as Kiko Pure Clean Scrub & Peel to remove any dead skin cells.
Prime:
Use lip liner as a primer, layering a matching shade all over the surface of the lips before applying your usual lip colour on top. For a long-lasting finish, pick from my top long-wear lipsticks, below.
Powder:
If you’re going for a matte finish, blot your lipstick and lightly apply loose powder through a sheet of tissue onto the lips for a super long-lasting finish.
