As mentioned above, a woman named Caroline and her daughter, who is now nine years of age, reunited with their almost decade-long missing pet cat, Pepé. On August 28, 2024, police officer Liz Harrison was at the Motorway Post of the Lancashire Police in Samlesbury as she just left work.
While moving through a parking area, she heard the sound of a cat meowing. Soon, she discovered a cat walking with great difficulty in the Lancashire car park. She realized that the cat’s paw had an injury. The officer then safely put the feline inside a box and took him for a check-up at a neighboring vet clinic.
There, the vets discovered the cat had a microchip, as reported by Manchester Evening News. Thus, it helped them to get information about his owners. They immediately contacted them and sent them a voicemail informing them about the feline. Soon after, Caroline, the owner of the missing cat Pepé, called the vets and disclosed that he went missing nine years back. They reported the pet missing, shared an appeal online, and put up posters to bring the cat back home. However, they have not received any news about the cat all these years.
Soon, Caroline arrived in Samlesbury, along with her daughter, to take her loving Pepé home. Both of them were ecstatic to finally see and reunite with their pet cat after so many years.
