One of the most important things about being a pet owner is ensuring your pets drink enough water. However, there are many little things you have to be mindful of, including its purity. A Petlibro Glacier Ultrafiltration Stainless Steel Pet Water Fountain can be a viable choice to serve this purpose.
The description looked promising, but would it live up to all the claims? That’s what I wanted to find out, and in this review, I’ll be telling you all about my experience with it.
First impression of the Petlibro Glacier Ultrafiltration Stainless Steel Pet Water Fountain
Straight out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by how everything was set up in the box. It was super easy to set up. I followed the instructions and placed all the pieces together, and it was good to go.

The build quality is excellent; the entire thing is stainless steel, so nothing feels like it’ll snap off. On top of that, my cats are very susceptible to getting acne around their whiskers, so I can’t use a plastic bowl for their water. Seeing the quality of steel be that great was an instant plus for me and one of the main reasons I wanted to try this.
Packaging and Box Contents
The Petlibro Glacier Ultrafiltration Pet Water Fountain comes in a neat white box, and when you open it up, it’s already assembled the way it’s meant to be set. So, you’re not immediately trying to figure out where everything goes.
You have to take it apart and get the cords and manuals out and everything, but it’s easier to put it back together.
The box also comes with an initial filter and three extra pre-filters for the under-the-tray catch section they’ve created.
Not Much Assembly Required
Once you’ve got the cords and manual out of the tank, you should quickly wash the tray and tank before assembling them back together to be used.
There’s not a lot to this.
You’ll have to ensure the filter is installed on the side correctly and close the lid. You can flip it over, plug in the USB side, and feed it through the cord holder so everything stays in place.
Then, put the little black piece under the tray and place the tray back on the tank.
After that, feed the filtration tube through the hole in the tray and place it on the tray where the little lip is, and you’re all done.

One of the best things about this water fountain is that it’s big enough for your pets but not so big that it takes up a lot of space in your house.
The dimensions are 265 x 220 x 167 mm or 10.43 x 8.66 x 6.57 inches.
Best Benefits of the Petlibro Water Fountain
I was primarily interested in the Petlibro Water Fountain because stainless steel cat water fountains are far less common than plastic ones. I was excited to have a stainless steel pet water fountain to review in case anyone ever asked me for a suggestion of a good one.

I like that it holds over 2 liters of water because those 2 liters last over a week.
I only have to refill it once every week, and my furry friend gets all the water they need on demand.
It also has a running fountain far enough from the tray that my cat can easily lick the water from the spout, which is a massive plus point, too.
I appreciate having this because Charlie was bugging me several times a day for fresh water in his water bowl. Now, he doesn’t bother me at all because he has fresh water all day long. And I am wasting far less water since he’s not asking for a fresh bowl daily.

Pros
Virtually silent. It only produces 28 decibels of sound, that too only when it detects motion in front of it.
Filters last up to two months.
The water pump is built-in in the filtration unit, which is non-detachable. It is separated from the water tank and will not get in touch with the water, therefore there is no need to clean the pump.
The sound of the water dropping interests the cats enough to drink more water (reminds them of fresh running water).
Human-grade filtration gets them the safest water possible.
Holds 2 liters of water.
Tall enough that there’s no whisker fatigue.
Cons
It needs to be plugged in.
Filters are expensive at $20/each – but you can get them on sale and buy more than one to get the individual price down.
Stainless steel shows the hard water stains from the spring water I am using really easily.
Pre-filter black tray falls off really easily.

Ease of Cleaning
The Petlibro Glacier ultrafiltration Pet Water Fountain is super easy to clean. You can clean the tray and water tank in the dishwasher very quickly, but if you want to clean them by hand, they come with a cleaning brush, too.

The filter has to be changed every two months, so there is no cleaning there. Just scan the QR code on the cover to order a new one and replace it when it comes in. Put everything back together, and you’re good to go.
Personal Takeaway
I love this. It’s been a lifesaver because my cats are mostly on dry food. With dry food, cats need to drink more water than those that eat all raw. Plus, it’s helped ensure that the water that makes it into their system is so clean that a human could drink it.
A great thing I hadn’t expected was that this tray doesn’t even get as dirty as an average bowl because of how much the water moves around. I mostly find some fur caught on the filter snout when I go to clean it, but it’s not like my pets constantly have to drink around debris in their water the whole time.
Plus, it’s super easy to clean, which saves me a lot of scrubbing.
