Our large Albino Mystery Snails will add bursts of color and also act as fish tank clearers in your aquarium! These tidy snails reduce the need for clearing devices (e.g. aquarium Green Killing Machine UV sterilizer) because they consume uneaten fish food, wipe off aquarium glass, live aquarium plants, and aquatic decorations; plus they help clear your substrate to keep it in the correct color. These peaceful invertebrates grow large as adults, reaching up to 3 inches in diameter and are safe with any fish, live shrimp, or plants. Their albino-white bodies feature unique iridescent markings and their shells are striped with various shades of brown to make these snails living, brilliant underwater fish tank decorations. Compared to other freshwater snails, Mystery Snails are characteristically more active and playful and can often be found playing over an air bubbler stone, extending their antennae in search of food, and climbing up the aquarium pump to the water line to breathe in oxygen. Because of this, ensure the water line in your aquarium is low enough or keep a tank cover in place so your Mystery Snails cannot escape. We often ship smaller sized (.25 to 1.5 inches) snails so you can enjoy your snail longer and watch it grow; a young Mystery Snail can double in size over the course of two weeks to months!
