The One Eyeshadow Palette You Need to Consider Buying

If you love nude, natural eyeshadow looks or if you want a palette you can use everyday for work friendly looks might I recommend the Danessa Myricks Beauty Groundwork Defining Neutrals Palette? When this originally launched I went back and fourth trying to decide if I really needed it. It took well over a month before I finally purchased it and I’m ever so glad I did. When I originally saw the palette it reminded me of the Tati Beauty Vol. 1 Eyeshadow Palette sans the shimmer. I purchased Tati’s palette when she launched it a few years ago and I absolutely loved it and was so looking forward to a Vol. 2 which sadly never came. Danessa’s Groundwork Palette is in no way a dupe of that palette but Tati had some of the same dune-like browns and nudes which were so appealing to me.
The thing about Groundwork is it looks like a palette with a twenty of the same shades that have very minor differences. And I guess in some ways that’s true but I also, think you’d be surprised how much you’ll use it especially if you do a lot of nude or natural looks for work or just in everyday life. The palette multitasks for eyes, lips, and face but I personally only use it on my eyes. The shades work as a shadow, a liner, or even for use on brows. The colors are also easy to work with and super silky.
Tomorrow the Sephora Spring Savings Event begins for Rouge Members and considering how much I love the original Groundwork I’ve decided to add the Groundwork Blooming Romance to my collection as well. Like the original palette, I do have some reservations about this purchase. I wasn’t sure if really needed to add a bunch of berries and mauves to my stash considering I don’t use those shades. But looking at swatches there are some beautiful reddish browns in the mix that I know I’ll love! I have a feeling I’m going to get as much use out of this palette as I did the Defining Neutrals version! As with the original, these shades can be used on your eyes, face, or even lips. Although, I never did use the Defining Neutrals Palette on my face I have a feeling the Blooming Romance shades will work great as blushes especially in the Fall when more richer, warmer berry shades are in season!

I’m very early to get my hands on the Danessa Myricks Groundwork Blooming Romance Palette! I think I’m going to love it. If you don’t have the original I really do think it’s one eyeshadow palette you need to consider buying. The Blooming Romance is one you might want to wait on until you’ve tried the Defining Neutrals. Remember, this isn’t a palette that’s going to offer you a huge colorful variety! It is however, a solid palette you’ll find you use daily for work looks, evening out looks, and more! As I get older I appreciate shades like this more and more
Let me know if it’s on your wish list!
