Warning: The Bachelorette Season 21 spoilers ahead: He failed to get Jenn’s final rose, but will Jeremy be on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10? He has a good shot, but there’s one main thing hindering his chances.

Jeremy Simon, a 29-year-old Real Estate Investor from Fairfield, Connecticut, was one of 25 contestants on The Bachelorette Season 21 with Jenn Tran. He had one One-on-One Date with Jenn in Week 6 in Seattle, Washington, and made it to Hometown Dates and the final four. However, after Jeremy’s Hometown Date in Fairfield, Connecticut in Week 7, Jenn sent Jeremy home in fourth place at the seventh Rose Ceremony and didn’t advance him to Fantasy Suites.

While Jeremy didn’t have as much screen time as, say, villains Devin Strader or Sam McKinney, he did make an impression on viewers in Week 5 when he went viral for a moment he unconsciously started petting Jenn’s hair—not once, but twice—at a Group Date after party. Though some fans called for him to be the next Bachelor for Season 29 after the moment, the role ultimately went to Grant Ellis, a 30-year-old Day Trader from Newark, New Jersey, who was eliminated in Week 6 before Hometown Dates.

Still, that means that Jeremy could make it to Bachelor in Paradise, which was renewed in July 2024 for a 10th season set to premiere in 2025 after a one-year hiatus in 2024. While Jeremy has the personality to match BIP’s fun (and drama)-filled beaches of Sayulita, Mexico, there is a possibility he could be left out of the cast. Here’s why.

Will Jeremy be on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10?

Bachelor in Paradise usually starts filming around the first week of June for “anywhere from 21 to 24 days,” according to Reality Steve. Given that Bachelor in Paradise likely won’t begin production until June 2025 at the earliest, fans won’t know for sure whether Jeremy will be a part of the cast until spoilers arise from photos of contestants at the Playa Escondida Resort in Mexico.

However, if we were to speculate, Jeremy has a good chance of making it to the Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 cast and being an original contestant—who, as fans know, have the best chance of finding love and making it to the finale. Of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 cast, five contestants made it to the final four of their respective Bachelor or Bachelorette seasons: Aaron Bryant, who came in third place on The Bachelorette Season 20 with Charity Lawson; Aven Jones, who was the runner-up of The Bachelorette Season 19 with Rachel Recchia; Rachel Recchia, who came in third place on The Bachelor Season 26 with Clayton Echard; Tyler Norris, who came in fourth place on The Bachelorette Season 19 with Rachel Recchia; and Blake Moynes, who was the winner of The Bachelorette Season 17 with Katie Thurston.

More: Meet The Bachelorette Season 21 cast

Given that Jeremy came in fourth place on Jenn’s Bachelorette season, he’s in a good place to be cast on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. What may prevent him is the fact that another Bachelorette season will likely air in the summer of 2025 with contestants fresher in viewers’ minds to be a part of Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. The Bachelor franchise faced a similar issue with Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, which premiered almost a year The Bachelorette Season 18 with Michelle Young aired but only a week after The Bachelorette Season 19 with Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey concluded their season.

As a result, only six contestants from Michelle’s Bachelorette season starred on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. In comparison, Bachelor in Paradise season 9, which premiered after The Bachelorette Season 20 with Charity Lawson and had no other Bachelorette season to compete with, had almost double the amount of contestants from Charity’s season on with 11 men. That means that it’ll be twice as competitive for Jeremy to secure the few slots likely allotted to Jenn’s Bachelorette cast for Bachelor in Paradise Season 10.

And then there’s also the possibility that Jeremy will meet someone and not be single by the time Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 filming almost a year from Jenn’s Bachelorette season finishing. That was an issue for Hannah Ann Sluss, the winner of The Bachelor Season 24 with Peter Weber who he broke up with before the finale. Hannah Ann was a shoo-in for the Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 cast—even Ellen DeGeneres predicted her to star on it during The Ellen DeGeneres Show—however, she never made it as she started her now-husband, Jake Funk, in 2021 around the time Season 7 started filming. Still, if he is single, Jeremy has a good shot of making it on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, especially after his patting moment which won over fans, so it just depends on how strong the next Bachelorette season’s cast—which will likely be led by the Bachelorette from Grant’s Bachelor season—will be.

The Bachelorette airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Stream it on Hulu.
